The 48-year-old then slowly turns his head toward the camera. “Nailed it” he said. The Ryder Cup will be played in France for the first time ever in just a few weeks.

Fujikawa 27 posted a picture to Instagram accompanied by a caption explaining his decision to come out. He told Outsports that he had not come out to anyone in the professional golf world until Tuesday’s post. “The love and support have been overwhelming” he said.
The event takes place April 3-6 with the top women amateurs in the world competing over two rounds at Champions Retreat Golf Club. The top 30 players will then fight for the title at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday the 6th. Their practice round is scheduled for the Friday in-between.

That comes as some reasonable surprise as — though the two events are not directly linked — CBS has owned the broadcasting rights at the Masters for decades. NBC Sports has just grabbed its piece of the Masters pie.
Tadd Fujikawa has inspired golf fans since he qualified for the 2006 U.S. Open at just 15 years old. He’s now breaking new ground off the course. On Tuesday Fujikawa became the first professional golfer to come out publicly as gay hoping to serve as “an inspiration and making a difference in someone’s life.”
The Augusta National Women’s Amateur will finish on Saturday April 6 — the Saturday prior to Masters Week — with coverage hitting NBC from noon to 3 p.m ET. That day will (likely) be the final round (of three) wrapping the 54-hole tournament one day prior to the annual Drive Chip and Putt National Finals.
NBC earning the rights is a bit ironic when considering the history of Masters broadcast rights. According to Scott Michaux a longtime Augusta Georgia sports writer NBC was once offered the broadcast rights to the Masters but the offer was mistakenly shipped to executives at CBS.
